Chosen Hertz collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies, and no audio ever leaves your device. There is no server that receives your files, because there is no server at all — everything runs inside your own browser.
When you convert a file, the audio is read, processed, and written back entirely on your own computer or phone. It is never uploaded, never transmitted, and never seen by anyone but you. Closing the page discards it.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. We do not know how many files you convert, what they are, or what pitch you chose.
The extension changes the playback rate of audio and video elements on pages you visit. It does not read, record, capture, or transmit audio, page content, or browsing history.
It stores your settings — the chosen pitch, whether it is switched on, and any sites you have turned it off for — using your browser's own extension storage. If you are signed into your browser, that storage may sync across your devices through your browser vendor, exactly as your bookmarks do. Those settings are never sent to us.
The extension requests two permissions:
Two files are fetched from public content delivery networks: the typefaces, from Google Fonts, and an MP3 encoder, only if you choose MP3 output. Those providers may see your IP address as part of serving the request, as they would for any site using them. No information about you or your audio is included, and nothing else is requested.
The service is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
If this ever changes — if analytics, accounts, or payments are added — this page will be updated before the change ships, and the claim above will be corrected rather than quietly dropped.
